Roll Call Feb 2009ers!!!
Hi, everyone! I am a slow loser also, but it is coming off. I do need to increase my exercise, also. I have been swimming all summer, since it has been way too hot here for indoor exercise, - it has been over 100 many, many days in a row. TOOOOO hot! Hopefully we will get a temp break, so I can use the treadmill again. My total weight loss is 99 lbs and 75lbs since surgery. Glad to see everyone is doing so well.
I am very happy with my results I started in 7/08 at 314 by 11/08- 297 day of surgery 285.3 I am now at 185 even and stalled......But I can walk breath play with my grand-kids tie my shoes do everything I couldn`t do be for I went from a 28-30 top 22 pants [ STRETCH ] to a 16 top and 16 jeans so I am very happy. And I think everyone is doing great but I would like to hear more about what you are doing so please do share, thanks
Hello everyone!!! I have been one of the members that read and don't reply to anything so I decided to change that. I hit my 6 month anniversary the 24th of August. I weighed 283 the day of surgery and as of today I weigh 170!! 113 pounds gone forever. I excercise everyday and I am training for a 5k. Saturday my hubby is coming home from Iraq and it will be the first time he seen me since before surgery, I am excited!!! I have about 20 more pounds to lose before I am at goal. My only problem I have is protein, but I think it is better. My levels are life threatening. So I am hoping for better numbers!!! My hair is coming out horribly.......
You've done fantastic and so quickly too. Now you'd better get healthy and force that protein.
There is more than whey out there. Try protein shots/ bullets, small maybe 3 oz at Walmart. There is also egg white protein, I use JayRobb, hemp, soy, rice, and gemma from peas. Many are at GNC and Vitamin Shoppe. All are available at Netrition.com. Find something you can tolerate if not a shake then a high protein food. You don't have to like it. Treat it as medicine you need to be healthy.
Enjoy your family home comming and please keep posting.

Yesterday, I hit 90 pounds lost (which is 64% of my goal). I am in my "goal size" for dresses, and one size away (two depending on the brand) in jeans.
I've started journaling (again) because I realized that I struggle getting in enough protein and water. Right now I'm concentrating on getting consistent protein, but, am increasing my water. [I've started drinking decaf tea] at work to help increase my water intake throughout the day -- since I spend 10 hours at my desk (4 days a week).
I have set a 'goal' to complete "Scout Out Huntingdon County" before year end in 2010. I doubt I'll fini**** before the snow flies this year ... but that's not going to stop me from logging some miles. To complete the achievement you cover "100 miles of heritage." And, you can earn patches (mini-rewards) for completing various 'segments' ... you can get more information at: http://scouts.raystown.org/ perhaps your area has something like this to get out and get active.
From 8/15 to 9/9 I lost 5.5 pounds and 4.25 inches -- according to Curves. [That's okay because from 7/13 to 8/15 I had a 15.5 pound and 11.5 inch loss, and they can't ALL be spectacular. ;) ]
It's another month before I see my nutritionist again. I plan on kicking butt between now and then.
